Online registration opens March 14th

This ground breaking class has two exciting components--dance, and costume design.  Each day, Designing Dancers Summer Camp starts off with group dance warm-up and skill building as dance instructor and choreographer, Danny Lindgren works with the children to create characters for an original group dance performance.  After enjoying lunch and recess outside in Dophin Playground, the group shifts gear in the afternoon, as they work with professional costume designer, Clare Wasserman to design and construct the costumes they will wear for their final showcase performance.  Children learn the fundamentals of drawing the human form, costume design, basic pattern making, and basic costume construction techniques, including hand stitching, sewing on buttons, and much more.  The class culminates in an original dance performance, and a showcase of the children's costume design drawings.
