MEET THE ARTISTS
Marisa Ryan (actor) is a star of stage and screen, with a career that spans from indies to feature films, and network television to Netflix. When she isn’t busy generating new hits, she teaches her original comedy curriculum in our Creative Stage Comedy Improv class!
Cate Smit (actor and emcee) has an impressive resume that marks star turns in Regional Theaters and Off-Broadway. Along with extensive improv experience, and directing over 500 short films, Cate has been a longtime commercial actor, who once lent her voice to The Electric Company!
Fred Redd (operatic baritone) has an operatic career that has seen him grace the stages of both Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center. He’s toured internationally as vocal performer, as well as having been featured both on national radio and television commercials.
Inna Dukach (operatic lyric soprano) performs both regionally and internationally to critical acclaim. Last season, Inna Dukach made her Metropolitan Opera debut as Madama Butterfly, traveled to Taiwan to sing Mimì with the Kaohsiung Symphony Orchestra, and created the role of Ina in the world premiere of Steal a Pencil for Me with Opera Colorado.
Todd Faulkner (actor) has impressive credits ranging from film and television to the New York Film Festival! You may have seen his work on shows such as The Americans, Nurse Jackie, Blue Bloods and Law and Order. His theater credits range from Quince in Midsummer Nights Dream with Vital Theater to Nudists in Love with the New York Fringe Festival!
Olivia Vote (operatic mezzo soprano) has been lauded for her “theatrical magnetism” and “her big, rich voice.” she joins the roster of the Metropolitan Opera in the 2018-19 season for productions of Die Walkure and Suor Angelica. Her international career includes notable performances of new works, such as Jennifer Higdon’s exciting premiere of Cold Mountain with the Santa Fe Opera, and workshop of the premiere of The (R)evolution of Steven Jobs, by Mason Bates and Mark Campbell in San Francisco.
Richard Troxell’s (operatic tenor) has seen him in leading roles in opera houses around the world, including: The Metropolitan Opera, Carnegie Hall, Avery Fisher Hall, Washington Opera, Houston Grand Opera, Santa Fe Opera, and Opera Australia. His star turn as Lieutenant B.F. Pinkerton in the award winning Sony film Madame Buttterfly, presented by Martin Scorcese, received high praise following its premiere in Paris and the U.S. in 1996.
Nicole Greevy (actor) has a resume that spans from regional theater to appearances on network television. Boasting a degree from NYU Tisch, you may have seen her work anywhere from the New York Fringe Festival to Bravo TV’s ‘Pregnant in Heels’.
Jim Conroy (actor) has a career as voice actor, television writer and actor. He is known for appearing on television shows, such as Kenny the Shark and Fetch! with Ruff Ruffman, radio commercials and video games. He worked for companies such as The Walt Disney Company and Discovery Channel, and has made special appearances on Saturday Night Live.
Hannah VeShancey (actor) has studied with Stella Adler, The Barrow Group, and at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts. She has appeared in multiple independent films, as well as having served as a radio host while earning her degree at Indiana University.
Nicole Johnson (cellist) Nicole Johnson has performed with both the Cassatt String Quartet and the Avanti Ensemble, has performed as a recitalist and chamber musician throughout the U.S. and Germany. She has appeared in performances with the Vermeer Quartet on their series in Chicago, on the Composers’ Guild concerts in New York City and at the Spoleto Festival in Charleston, South Carolina.
Christina Beck (actor, choreographer) is a recent graduate of Barnard College of Columbia University, where she majored in Theatre. Her most recent credits include Olivia in Twelfth Night at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London, Six in the Detroit-based short film Heads/Tails, and Narrator in her devised thesis, Some Hero, at Barnard.
Daniel Kvoras (actor) is currently a student at Columbia University, majoring in Drama and Theater Arts. He studied and performed improv comedy at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre, and wrote and performed shows at the People’s Improv Theatre. He currently performs with the improv team Apostrophe in New York City.
Gerry Vegas (actor) is a proud member of Actors’ Equity Association and recently finished his second solo-cabaret, "Pennies from Heaven". Other credits include: his first solo show (Growing Up?), Berry the Elf (Santa's Village), E (Billy Bonfire: A Rock Opera), and Brother Bear (The Berenstain Bears LIVE: In Family Matters, the Musical.)
Kathryn Metzger (actor) is a recent MFA graduate of the Cleveland Play House. Since moving to New York, she has appeared with The Chautauqua Theater Company and Columbia Stages, as well as performances with several Off Off Broadway companies. She’s recently made her national commercial debut with Burlington!
